Here is a list of questions I frequently receive about live music at weddings and other events. Don’t see your question? Contact me.
Do you take song requests?
Yes, if you would like to hear a specific song, feel free to let me know, and I will see if it is possible.
Do you play with backing tracks?
Yes – for my solo service, I play the “Oud” with a backing track. As an arranger, I can be very creative with what’s possible to play. If you would like accompaniment, you can always ask me to bring in more musicians! The instruments I most commonly perform with consist of a “Oud”, “Darbuka”, “Riq” and a “Violin”.
Do you have amplification with speakers or other audio equipment?
No – I don’t have any audio equipment. For big events, I play on an Electric “Oud” that requires amplification. If you need help connecting with a sound engineer, I can help you with that.
How far are you willing to travel?
I typically travel up to 90 miles from Detroit (2 hours of driving). Depending on my schedule and availability, I can also take events that require flights to other states as well. In any case, get in touch with me to discuss what’s possible!
How do you handle payments?
I require a deposit (50% of the total amount). This payment can be made at the time of signing the contract, while the other half can be paid on or before the day of the event. I accept Paypal, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, or cash.
How do we book you?
For weddings and other larger events, I send a contract which finalizes everything that we have discussed. After that’s signed, we are all set.
